Primary Purpose

● Safety: To keep the operator securely positioned within the confines of the forklift,

reducing the risk of falling or being ejected during sudden maneuvers or tip-overs.

● Control: To provide a stable base from which the operator can accurately control

all functions (steering, lifting, tilting).

●Comfort & Health: To minimize operator fatigue and the risk of back pain through

ergonomic design, which is essential for maintaining focus and efficiency.

Key Features

● Fore/Aft Adjustment: Allows operators of different sizes to reach the pedals and

steering wheel comfortably.

● Weight Adjustment: A knob or lever lets the operator tune the seat’s suspension to

their specific body weight for optimal support.

● Tilt/Slope Adjustment: Helps maintain comfortable posture, especially when driving

on inclined surfaces.

Types of Seats

●Standard seating to meet basic operational needs.

●Suspension Seat: Providing basic adjustability and shock absorption.

●High-Back Seat: Offers additional head and upper back support, common in high-capacity

or rough-terrain forklifts.

● Folding Seat: Saves space in very compact electric warehouse forklifts where operators

frequently dismount.

Optional Safety Features

● Seat belt and armrests are necessary safety device.

● Operator Presence System (OPS): A safety sensor that automatically sets the parking brake

and/or disables drive functions when the operator leaves the seat.
